A delicious dessert chip that is excellent served alone, drizzled with honey, or with ice cream! This batch turned out pretty good. However, I found the cocoa powder to be a bit much. Next time, I will try without the cocoa powder and just do a cinnamon sugar mix.

Chocolate cinnamon dessert chips
A delicious sweet tortilla chip, good on its own or ice cream
- 12 La Banderita corn tortillas
- 1/2 cup canola oil
- 4 tbsp cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tbsp cinnamon
Combine cocoa, sugar, and cinnamon in a large bowl
Cut all tortillas into 4 equal parts.
Using a skillet, heat oil to medium, enough to cover entire bottom of pan.
When oil is heated, place cut tortilla into oil. Do not crowd.
Fry a few tortillas at a time, turning occasionally, until crisp and slightly browned, normally 1 minute or less.
Remove chips from oil and toss with cocoa, sugar, and cinnamon in the bowl until chip is covered.
Allow chips to cool by laying out on paper towels or cooling rack.
